But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you. Matthew 6:6 (NLT)
Prayer is an important part of Christian community. We should be praying for one another, and even for those not in the fellowship as we are in a position to do so. But effective prayer comes from our own deep relationship with God, which develops as we regularly meet with God in private. So prepare yourself for today’s challenges by beginning with a heartfelt talk with your Heavenly Father.
