Born into a missionary family in Indonesia but mostly raised in Virginia, Jen attended Brown University as a student athlete and was one of Brown’s leading scorers, helping her team win three Ivy League championships and placing in the top 13 in the country. After graduating with a Bachelor in Psychology, she played professional soccer and attended Boston University, receiving her Masters in Social Work. While working for the Massachusetts Department of Social Services, Jen began to focus on foster care and adoption, before starting a family. As a mom, she focused on ministries to children and families. To help with Chicago Hope Church, she became the Dean of Student and Family Support at an inner-city Christian high school for three years before joining Chicago Hope Church full time as the Director of the Hope House and rejoining Life Spring Network as administrator. She enjoys spending time with her husband and being an active mother of four, in addition to all the students they’ve invited into their home.
