And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. — Colossians 3:17 (NIV)
Being filled with the Spirit is being filled with the thoughts of God. And those thoughts will turn our hearts back to God, giving Him praise and thanks for all that He has done to accomplish our salvation and sustain us day by day. This concentration on God, His goodness and His will, will allow God’s peace to reign in our hearts. In this way everything we do will bring glory to God.
