Read Matthew 7:7-12
“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.” – Matthew 7:7-8 (NLT)
Persistence in prayer is recommended to us here, but the underlying assumption is that we are asking for God’s will to be done. If you ask for God’s will to be done in your life, if will be. If you seek God, desiring his renewal of your life, you will find it. But is essential that we approach him with a pure heart, which is why the earlier teachings we have looked at are all about our heart, our intention, our attitude toward God and others. So seek God first, and then pray for his will, and you will find the blessing of God’s perfect gifts for you.
